Which is why the last thing we expected… was for it to be this much fun.

The Mission: Turn a speech into an immersive, end-to-end experience

This was our second time partnering with the firm’s leadership on their State of the Firm address – a key moment in their organizational calendar. A biennial retreat that reflects on the past two years, but more importantly, defines direction, sharpens identity, and sets the pace for what comes next.

We were brought in to go beyond the speech’s presentation, and design a full narrative experience that would shape the rhythm, tone, and emotional arc of the entire retreat.

The Process: Structure the story, elevate the experience

Leadership’s message spanned a wide spectrum: navigating an exceptionally challenging year, internally and externally, alongside strong financial performance. Communicating the departure of a senior partner, while building confidence around new leadership. Data, numbers, and charts, alongside an ambitious, forward-looking strategy.

Our role was to translate this complexity into a cohesive communication language – one that makes the information accessible, while guiding the audience seamlessly through emotional and informational highs and lows.

We began by defining a clear core message. From there, we developed a thematic and visual concept that became the unifying backbone for all content and design elements throughout the retreat. A framework capable of holding both tension and optimism, without compromising on clarity or aesthetic impact.

We also wrote and produced the opening film, a central piece designed to set the tone within the first three minutes. It served as both a narrative and emotional anchor, preparing the audience for the strategic message that followed.

The content expanded to include AI-driven elements – videos inspired by familiar TV formats, and a personified robotic character that made complex ideas digestible, and engaging.

The result was a more dynamic experience that strengthened the connection to the strategic narrative.

The result was a holistic experience, one that moved people, made them laugh, and most importantly, created clarity and momentum for the next two years.

We’re grateful to the leadership team, whose ambition, imagination, and sharp humor pushed us to raise the bar again and again, toward creative territory you can only dream of.

We hope to be back in that boardroom in two years.
